Outreach Gets Colorado Health Foundation Grant

Colorado Ceasefire Outreach has received a grant from The Colorado Health Foundation for our internship program, partnering with CU Boulder’s Game Changers. Game Changers are a group of 35 young people who combine youth voices with the science of violence prevention to inspire their peers to take collective action. Their efforts bridge science, arts, and media to help young people amplify their voices and make a positive impact on both their communities and their future.

Four of these young people have joined Ceasefire Outreach working on our Schools Outreach and Permit-to-Purchase programs. Our interns learn about the broader gun violence prevention movement, as well as public speaking, project management, and other skills. Some former interns have gone on to leadership positions with national GVP groups.

We’re excited to welcome our new interns, and THANK YOU to the CHF!
