Colorado Ceasefire Founder Eileen McCarron has announced that she will be ‘officially’ retiring from our group in October. Please RSVP to her retirement party on October 23rd to thank her for more than 25 years of work to stop gun violence in Colorado.
From Eileen:
After 31 ½ years of working on gun violence prevention as a volunteer, 26 ½ with Colorado Ceasefire, Mother Time has indicated it is appropriate to hand off the leadership role I have held for a good portion of that period. It has been quite a ride, and I am still amazed at all that Colorado Ceasefire and all of the gun violence community have accomplished here in Colorado during this period.
I’d love to see you at this retirement party and hope you can make it as I transition to a background ‘emeritus-type’ status. And you’ll get to meet the highly capable individuals who will be stepping into my vacated shoes.
