Coming Soon: New ERPO Guides for Clergy, First Responders

Extreme Risk Protection Orders, often known as ‘red flag’ laws, save lives—but only when people know how to act on early warning signs. The Johns Hopkins Center for Gun Violence Solutions will soon release two new guides equipping clinicians and clergy, often the first to notice signs of crisis, with practical tools to help remove firearms from dangerous situations.

Ahead of the guides’ release, the school is hosting webinars this month to learn how clinicians and faith leaders can make the difference between a warning sign and a tragedy.

More ERPO resources and training are available on our ERPO page. You can also get training from the CO Department of Law and the CO Office of Gun Violence Prevention.
