Everytown has launched a new tool to help collect and interpret nationwide data about gun violence. EveryShot is the second AI-powered tool from Everytown Labs, and uses public news sources and AI technology to capture details of over 75 variables about shooting incidents, including the date, location, shooting type, and information on victims and suspects.
Users can filter by state or city; victim demographics; gun type; intent; and more. The tool can also compare two states or cities, and show results in a list with links to news sources. All data is available to download. It promises to be a great help to anyone interested in digging into often-hard-to-find data on different types of gun violence.
