Vote Without Fear Act Passes Second bill to amend criminal possession of firearms also passes
A bill that prohibits openly carried firearms within 100 ft of an election drop box, building of a vote service center, or election processing site has passed the 2022 General Assembly and was signed into law by Gov. Polis on March 30. More here.
A second bill that Colorado Ceasefire also worked to pass would amend a past law to prohibit ownership of firearms by criminals. That bill has passed and been sent to the governor for signature.
We’re happy to report that a number of bills that we opposed have also been defeated.
Thank you to all who wrote, called and testified to make this happen!
