Great exploration of suicide prevention, including Donna’s Law, on this episode of the ‘Back from the Abyss’ podcast. Donna’s Law, the voluntary do-not-sell firearms waiver, allows people to ‘opt-in’ to a do-not-sell list with the NICS background check system so they can protect themselves, their families, and their communities. It was passed by Colorado legislators and signed by Gov. Polis last session, but $215,000 had to be raised privately to set up the secure online portal. Happily, that funding has been acquired and the program will launch soon.
